Just hit 96,000 miles on my '05. I can only claim 2000 miles so far, but this car is very quick for managing 24 MPG. So pleased with my purchase.

And if they didn't make it only avail in a stick. It's like the perfect storm of failure for this car. It angers me too, as I am on my third Legacy GT. But for the money, I wouldn't being spending it...

My '05 came with new ones on it. These tires are junk. Went outside one morning and one was flat. Hole in the sidewall. Spent $130 on a replacement that had a sidewall blowout as well after 40 miles....

I haven't driven a new one, but the E36 doesn't produce the #s that more current iterations do. IMO the gearbox sucks. It's impossible to shift smoothly.
