And to be pedantic, our bodies would not explode at zero atmospheric pressure. Our bodies are very good at maintaining equal pressure inside as out so the difference in pressure is always near zero....

You might want to consider laser cutting instead of water jet. It tends to be quite a bit cheaper and would have no trouble with that thickness of metal.

I could be wrong but I don't think those yellow wires next to the green connectors are stock...I'm wondering if that's some sort of bypass or easier way of "connecting" the green connectors.

I had a similar issue in my '05 LGT. It turned out to be a clogged catalytic converter in the down pipe. You could try checking that.

They said they did a smoke test and that came out fine. Then they hooked up some sort of exhaust restriction gauge and that came out really high.
