  1. I've got 98,5xx on my 2005. It was stage 2 since 70k, and it's had a VF52 for the last 2k. Timing belt is the next big thing to do. So far the car's eaten an A/C belt, blew off a vac hose, and needed a clutch (My fault on that one..). Pretty impressed so far. Hope it gives me many more problem free miles.

  5. It's hard to focus on anything but numbers when I don't have a VF52 on my car to really feel it. I'm not going for any magical number, because if I wanted 300whp all I have to do is find the right dyno. I've just seen a lot of guys posting up 40 numbers what would lead one to believe that it's an extremely capable turbo compared to the 52 on a stock fuel system, so I thought I'd ask for individual's thoughts and experiences, rather than focus on the numbers. That's all. And thanks NRW, I searched a bit and never came across a comparison on the same dyno. The 52 is on stock injectors, correct?
  6. Has anyone that's done this care to share their impressions? I've got a catless turbo back and a pretty conservative tune on the car at the moment. The mod bug is starting to rear it's ugly head again and I want a bit more power. I'm looking around and it seems like the VF52 + an aftermarket topmount can get some pretty decent numbers (280-290whp), but then it also seems like there's these super stock turbo cars at 270/280whp. These could very well be inflated numbers though, depending on the dyno. I guess my question here is whether or not a more aggressively tuned VF40 car with more bolt ons (tmic/headers/intake) will be as quick as a VF52 car with a catless UP/DP and bigger topmount but on the stock fuel system. There's a lot of numbers floating around and I'd like to hear some real world experiences.
  7. Yeah, it matters in bracket racing and if you actually care to try and beat the guy that's next to you. But if you want to improve your et, getting a better reaction time will not do a damn thing. A 14.5 will be a 14.5 if you have a perfect reaction time or if you sit at the line for five seconds before you leave. Glad to see you felt the need to be a complete douche even though I'm not wrong in any way
  8. Um. Your ET has absolutely nothing to do with the reaction time. The quarter mile timer doesn't start until the car leaves the beam.
  9. So I've gotten my bone stock LGT out to the drag strip a couple time since I got it six months ago. This is my first manual car, and the first time out, a month after buying it, I got a 15.2 @ 89 mph with a 2.09 60 ft. I was ok with it, I was still worrying about stalling my car on hills at that point, let alone bangin gears down the drag strip. Then I went out at the end of January, still stock, except for 17x8 wheels and 215/45 superbald Yokohama es100s. My best run of the night: 60ft- 2.086 1/8- 9.516 @ 72.75 1/4- 14.867 @ 92.21 Then, the next run was shaping up to be even better, maybe a 14.6~? I was up over a tenth of a second and one mph in the eighth, but I missed fourth and just coasted through the traps. 60ft- 2.103 1/8- 9.397 @ 73.78 1/4- 15.153 @ 75.44 My tires were so done I was spinning most of the way through first, which might contribute to the horrid 60 foots. That or I just can't figure out how to launch this damn car. I hope I'll make it to the drag strip this friday with my new 245/40 S-drives and see what happens. These runs were done at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway drag strip. It's about 2100' above sea level.
