Next time you get that p0171 don't clear it. Find what's wrong and fix it. Your O2 sensor would probably still be good if you A/F ratio wasn't out of whack.

Replace the turbo, the oil cooler, oil feed lines and banjo bolt filters. There's a kit one of the vendors on here have on their site. I believe it's Fred Beans. Go check it out.

I agree with xt2005. That's a good deal especially because the motor is already apart so the labor for the timing belt and water pump shouldn't be much at all.

Like everyone else said, swap the injectors and coils. My guess is that you have a bad injector causing you to run lean at higher RPMs

That's an awful lot of oil consumption if you ask me.. Can you see if its leaking from somewhere? Or are you blowing a lot of smoke while it's cold? I would pull the plug out and take a look at it....
