I had a Crucial coated HKS pipe but it would not seal worth a damn. I opted for the stock look with the OEM STi pipe and it sealed with no problem. Now if I could get larger...

I have the exact same noises and idle issue that you explain. It's even worse when you put it in gear. I've ruled it out to be completely normal since it did it from day 1 and I only have 10k miles...

Did the same thing to me but only once. I pulled over turned the car off and then started it back up. It hasn't happened since which was about a year ago.

Up for sale is an HKS up pipe coated by Crucial. I decided to go with the STi up pipe for stock look in case of warranty work. The HKS was on the car for only 1k miles. It's in perfect shape.
