FYI , eBay struts do not work with konis . The diameter is to large and thus the insert just falls in. Ironically, the shim included with the inserts is too big to fit inside.

When I did my engine rebuild. Our shop sent the pistons, rods, crank, valves with the engine block. Don't know if they matched each bore, but the machine shop wanted those items.

I put a whole can of seafoam on a 300 mile cruise trip ( for best results) and about half way through the tank. The car would studder ( more so cut power) for a second....

Wtf. How ? If I'm all highway, the gauge will hit 100 miles at the first notch but will get realistically 300 at best on the same tank.

Rebuild. Cost will be equal or less than an new shortblock, plus you can build it your way. Pistons/ cranks/ rods /bearings/ even some head work. I went the rebuilt route.
