Let PB blaster sit in the slot in the steering...

Let PB blaster sit in the slot in the steering knuckle while you work on the 14mm bolt. It's easier that way. Worst case scenario is a cobalt drill bit.

The ball joints do get rusted on there pretty...

The ball joints do get rusted on there pretty good but you can chisel away at the edge where the joint meets the arm or you can do what I did & drill a small hole through the knuckle to get access to...

Well, unfortunately due to a fall into a road pit, the drop ripped the CV joint right out of the differential & completely discombobulated the wheel bearing, hub assembly, & destroyed the lower ball...

14s won't fit. I upgraded to a set of WRX brake...

14s won't fit. I upgraded to a set of WRX brake calipers/discs when I had my first L & couldn't put my stock wheels back on, so I upgraded to Outback 16s w/low profile tires.

Got new hoses for the emission/vacuum system & a well of TQ came out of nowhere from 2k to 3k rpm. It feels very welcome & it is very good...

If you have an EJ22, the only things that are useful to you on that engine are the heads, intake/exhaust manifolds, & turbo assembly w/various sensors & vacuum lines.

Those 4hrs or so that it takes to do remove (just remove) the heads from inside the car is EXTREMELY taxing on the back...
