  1. Hmm maybe I can take a loan on subie and pay off Tesla. Just thought about that
  2. I had forgotten how much I put in to it. Got a model 3 my son in college was using. Tough decisions https://lasvegas.craigslist.org/cto/d/las-vegas-2012-subaru-legacy-gt-turbo/7669153352.html Highly modified but gently driven rare vehicle. Only 227 sold in 2012, so new owner will be in exclusive club. A tremendous amount of labor went in to install these upgrades. 6-Speed Manual with too many options to list but here is a short list: VF54 18G BNR Modified Turbo Charger -1300 Grimmspeed Intercooler Top-Mount - 900 Racer-X Metal Charge Pipe Go Fast Bits Mach 2 BPV/BOV Grimmspeed EBCS Cobb V3 Accessport (91 ACN blend Cobb tune) 19in OZ Leggera Wheels - 2000 Continental Contact SRS Tires Custom Tesla-esque Navigation/Radio/Video Screen - 1000 Dual Zeitronix ZR-2 Gauge Setup KW Suspension Variant 3 Coilovers - 2500 Brembo Brakes (Gold) - 1750 DBA Slotted Brake Rotors - 500 I will even include the front-mount intercooler that i never installed still in box
  3. I got my Southbend Stage 3 installed! First impression was that clutch had less resistance than stock. So much so that I had really focus on finding sweet spot to shift, depress pedal and then release. What i'm thinking is this thing is MUCH more forgiving when you just dump all that torque on release. The first day, I stalled a few times trying to use old way of shifting. waiting to feel engagement and accelerating. But the next day I just did what for the old clutch would have been a dump and that jerk and go feeling when clutch tries to catch up with torque being put on it. This clutch seems as if it'd be easy to learn on. you just depress, shift, and dump. No jerking motion, just continuous movement.
  4. Appreciate the info. it'll be a couple of weeks. Ordered some bolts and group n mount
  5. I already have that perrin adapter short throw gizmo but will order group n mount. Appreciate your input
  6. Bought new bolts for pending clutch replacement. i'm reading best to buy new ones.
  7. Also, what else can be easily done with traansmission dropped. I already plan on: 1) Soutbend Stage 3 clutch 2) stock flywheel 3) TSK3 kit 4) Transmission brace kit that someone fabricated for us special
  8. My wife let my son "learn" how to drive a stick on my car. I know something was up when they parked it outside. Car smelled of burning clutch. Now it is very hard to launch in first and second - forget it. Is this the right part? South Bend Clutch Stage 3 Clutch Kit (FJK1001 SS O)
  9. i thought those were no longer produced. How'd you come across one?
  10. ^ appreciate the info. However, the ebay seller sent my item to someone else and is trying to track it down. They sent me what looks like pinstripe tape and I suppose someone got this big box with these space age looking add-ons.
  11. How do you install the side skirts? pop-its? drilling required?
  12. I cleaned my AEM air filter, but when I tried to loosen one of the clips, it popped out and fell deep inside the car. Need a new one I suppose, but with the Racer X charge pipe I have, it is not going anywhere soon.
  13. Have you ruled out the Crawford AOS. A somewhat simple install, but you'll have to make a simple bracket. The one I have does not plumb water through it. Crawford research said this was only necessary under extreme cold conditions
