This was a quick calculation. I haven't seriously considered any diesels in the last few years, so I haven't paid much attention to diesel prices. My math was assuming premium gas was roughly the...

Me, too

I'm ready to unload my premium-gas-sucking GT MT wagon for a new diesel MT wagon NOW! I'm not sure I'll be able to wait 2 1/2 years, though.

45 vs. 20 MPG @ 25k miles / yr. @ $3.00 / gal. =...

The extra adjustment option with the Limited seats was the main reason I opted for the Limited. I would not have purchased a Legacy at all if I only had the non-limited seat option. I'm not tall...

My neighborhood roads were nearly impassable at 10AM. Anything less than AWD and I would have been stuck. Clearance was an issue in some spots.

25,000 in 18 mos. on my '05 Wagon GT 5 speed. A few limited issues like a faulty auto dimming mirror. There is no question in my mind the C&D staff beat the snot out of that car. I wouldn't...

Thumbs up +1

+1

Lots of screws, but overall much easier to remove and reinstall the Legacy stereo than most others I've worked on over the years.

Jazzy's detailed instructions make all the difference. ...

I use an old Pocket PC with a GPS card that fits into the Compact Flash slot. The software I use is iGuidance by iNav. In the East Coast you'll probably want to have at least a 512MB memory card...

My red dent @ 10/1

Here's what crumbled red looks like.

Hit on 10/1/04, picked up from body shop on 1/3/05. It's great to have my Suby back (and almost as good as new).

I had the Subaru short shifter installed for $100. They tried to charge $150 after it was done because it took longer than they expected, but I made them hold to the quoted price. I got the shifter...

Non limited seats uncomfortable

I test drove a non-limited first and found the driver's seat to be very uncomfortable. The Limited allows for more adjustment of the lower part of the seat.

Ouch! A real-world side impact test.

I was worried about getting my first ding on my new GT Ltd Wagon--I had no idea it would be this bad. A nanny driving a '90 Acura Legend ran a red light at about 50 MPH and nailed my left rear door....

Based on MSRP with similar features, I think they'll use the front wheel drive versions of the A4 and S40. C&D always leans toward the performance, fun to drive and bang-for-the-buck factors. They...
