  1. Yea DEFINITELY going to give that a shot first! Really crossing my fingers smh.... Thank god I Live in AZ now and it doesn't really rain, because I've been riding my Motorcycle to work everyday for the last 3 weeks! I can't even drive the car at all right now, for the fear and fact that it dumps every time like clock work once the codes get thrown
  2. This issue has been REALLY inconvenient and expensive so far
  3. I'm REALLY not trying to go that route as of yet.... Because that requires full replacement of the Throttle body from what I'm getting told by the dealer and my research, they are built into each other Thinking about trying to replace the pedal APP sensor or assembly first to test my luck.
  4. Same issues right now, popped off the APP sensor on the peddle over the weekend and blew out with Air and reseated same issues... My next idea is to try to clean/reseat the TPS sensor on the Throttle body... Jeezus I could really use a break right now on this. Car has really been acting up with this nonsense and can't even drive it right now My issue is happening like clock work right now. Drive 3 or so miles OR LESS and it dumps into limp mode.
  5. I've owned my car since 05, original owner (105k miles)... and have done that like a MILLION times... I think your good All it will do if dumping into manual or "sport" if you will, while driving, is possibly bump your revs up a tad, and it will hold your gears longer... Bumping down into D/Drive the reverse is generally seen... And all so subtle. just my 2cents
  6. I'm not ready to completely rule it out officially just yet... But I had commented some time ago about this shudder I get from 2nd to 3rd under boost and mild throttle, usually under load like going up a subtle incline... Couldn't figure out what it was, was very few and far between when it would happen since it was very particular conditions that would manifest the "Shudder" from gear to gear... I was worried slipping... But after commenting in here, someone mentioned could be the boost leak I was possibly seeing from my end tank on my TMIC being compromised... Well replaced the TMIC with a BP'd from beanman and ever since I've haven't felt it, even tried replicating the conditions a time or two... Could very well be my fix... Hoping I never feel it again, but keeping an eye out for now. Figured I'd drop an update of my own.
  7. Nah man I could see how it would seem that way, but I actually drive my car like ONCE a week and the rest of the time its my fiance who doesn't drive like that. But even when I did drive my car most of the time, I wouldn't beat on it that much, I get my moments where I want to have a little fun, and play with the performance side of whats available, but I also LOVE just cruising the car. Now I will be honest... I bought the car 8 years ago, and for the first 50k miles and about 2-3 years, yea I drove the piss out of her from time to time but to that note, I've also been meticulous in keeping up on EVERY maintenance possible, including the trans and diffs
  8. I REALLY would love to try this mod! Just not in the budget and time right now.... But hey you did say "Ask away" for questions regarding the 5eat... So check this out... Two things I guess... So the other day, I was manually shifting the legacy (Racing a shitty saab whom I kicked there ass), none the less, I went to shift and waited A HAIR to long, and while assuming I bounced it off of a weird spot around the rev limiter, I ended up getting a VERY vigorous pound/slap sound, almost like a trans with blown trans mount, that kind of bang (Did it once in my old firebird, only reason I compare it to that)... None the less, driving fine, just a fluke shift issue I'm thinking... This one isn't something I've really had an issue with before, or heard before, first time so maybe just a fluke. Anyways, the more tedious one that drives me CRAZY, is this stupid little "Shudder" I get going from I believe 1st to 2nd (But could be 2nd to 3rd now that I think of it), and the best way I can describe how it happens, is sort of when your not p*ssy footin it, but your also not really trying to get into the throttle all that much, kind of in between, it's like it confuses the trans on shifting and I get this little shudder. So under moderate boost/load, and also mostly if applying torque up slight inclines etc... Doesn't happen all that often, and otherwise, if driving light, the shifting is spot on, and same goes for driving hard, shifts will be spot on... So kind of confusing... Would be interested to see if any thought on this one Link to a thread I mentioned this in http://legacygt.com/forums/showthread.php/5eat-trans-200755.html
  9. I've also been part of this crowd for years ugh but I have since then cut back A LOT on the boosting and aggressive throttle load on torque jumps from a start... Haven't heard it in years But yea this creaking is SO annoying! I don't have the time to read through 50+ pages of this thread at the moment, but it sounds like people are still trying to figure out what and where this grumbling, knocking, creaking noise is coming from huh?
