So got most of it installed today, still being picky about how I want the wiring run so I am back to it tomorrow. Had a couple of issues with getting the player to accept cds while testing the install. As a side note for testing, i put the cd changer back on, attached the 4 screws, put the face plate back on, went to test, didnt work, took everything apart again, reassembled up to putting face plate on, didnt work, put top panel on with screws, worked just fine. Maybe that top panel has something to do with getting the seating of the cd changer correct, who knows? Anyways tomorrow I am going to make it pretty. Drove it home tonight with it partially hooked up and it sounded phenomenal!!!!!!

Ok I see how it goes, so if I want a second input into the stereo just split it at the GLI, thanks jazzy

jazzy just wanted to say nice shipping time, in laws told me it arrived this morning (i dont ship to my place as its an apartment and the guy has been known to leave stuff at the door ) and installing tomorrow after a visit to the subie doctor (aka dealer). One quick question though, is the RCA or phono connector on the ipod connector the input to the GLI? Guessing that if it is RCA then i need an adapter (male RCA->male phono), or if its the phono then I need (male RCA->female phono) for the aux input? Thanks for the help and the speedy shipping.

subie I would recommend the Subaru Aux-in pro kit. Since you don't need the ipod adapter that would be awesome for you. The GLI (Ground loop interrupt) will prevent humming in the playback, recommended by many from reading the posts.
