with the connector unplugged, the turbo is still right up to the opposite plug - i'd expect that the fmic coupler is...

no problem. i actually ended up following m sprank's advice, cutoff the top cover of the plug, and retorqued everythig on top of it - no issues so far.

i think the easiest solution for right now is to leave the connector unplugged.
if that is a problem later then i'd have to find a different solution - i will keep...

no issues with the cutting at all and we have very good clearance...

afaik the 05-06 lgt is 23-24lbs, 07-09 lgt is 19lbs.

so, from what i gather the recomended clutch is the act sti SB4-HDSS.
an oem sti flywheel or an act flywheel can be used with that...
