Had same problem, flashing ignition ring. The BIU must be set from "factory" to "market" at a Subaru dealer. Hope this helps.

This may shed some light, no pun intended, on the flashing ignition ring for you guys. I had the same problem, the dealer forgot to change the setting from "factory" to "market". Hope this helps.
