i did mine on ramps because i heard that was what your supposed to do. other wise the bars might bind when you try to put the car back on the ground due to the suspension being slack when you jack it...

there is a little tab on the bulb that you have...

there is a little tab on the bulb that you have to match up with a slot in the headlight. my guess is that it's just seated a little cockeyed in there, an easy mistake to make

to answer the original post, anodized aluminum would have a harder surface to scratch than powder coat , but at least it can be touched up. the question is, do you think it well be necessary to touch...
