I guess it depends on where you want the flame front facing. I'm not very familiar with the geometry of the Subaru engine yet.

Here are some examples:

My update is that my car is absolutely running smoother.

I haven't been able to test my plug cable yet to show a difference in spark because - no joke - I haven't been able to open my 2 car garage...

indexing washers

I saw the post by DOHC that they use the same plugs but in case you do have an issue with it, you could always use INDEXING WASHERS to pull the plugs out just a tad. I'm not sure how much difference...

cable preference

Nology has some capacitance in them so you get the peaking cap benefit, but Granatelli has no resistance. If you do want to go the plasma route later, you'll want the non-resistors.

Also, if you...

That's great to hear positive feedback about them.

I don't see any Subaru coils on their website: http://granatellimotorsports.com/catalog/Coil_Packs-551-1.html maybe they don't carry them...

Ok, changed my plugs tonight. Would have taken about 20 minutes but I was taking pics and vids as well as plug measurements. I'll post some of that later. I did take out my battery and moved my wiper...

My view on cables is the lowest resistance - I completely ignore all companies claims about the cables when they start talking about 300 ohms per foot is low. I'm talking about close to 0 ohms for...

Yeah, just the plugs make a difference, but I would try to get low to no resistance cables if possible.

I'd do low resistance cables too.

Yeah, the fuel computer sabotage is fairly standard on almost all cars. The EFIE's do work a bit but the benefits are small - they just take the voltage from the o2 sensor and drop it a bit so the...

Quick update - you can use the same plugs - but get warmer ones in the same heat range as stock. The stock "11" at the end is the gap and I thought that was the heat range. On the racing plug, that...

Yes, more complete burn.

40kv is more than that MSD 33000v one some people are putting on their Subaru's that are meant for the Neon and Eclipses. What is the coil you're using? Is your engine...

Yes on the improved ignition efficiency and the non-resistor plugs are about the same cost. The NGK v grooved racing plugs I got were about $15 for 4 of them and that included shipping.

Thanks Osei.

Is this an adjustment problem or does the clutch need to be changed?
