Why? It's just black plastic coating in a spray can. Cars have black plastic all over them and this stuff is great to restore those parts or accent or protect others. It's great when used sparingly...

If you can find a good film...go with film. I did mine like 3 years ago and it's still perfect. Film is so much easier to get it right and if you ever want to change it you can just peel it off.
