It was my cable. Used Jayway's cable on my laptop and it flashed my car just fine.
Off to ebay I go to order a new $10 cable.

I am getting together with jayway so we will be able to trouble shoot where the problem is and get the car flashed.

82,000 miles and first major repair. Through out bearing in the clutch went out. replacing the whole clutch and dumping the dual mass fly wheel for a single mass one.
