  1. so whens the 2010+ vb coming out??:spin: it was a joke..... feel like i has to explains on teh intranet
  2. You have a charger hooked up to it using the 12v plug so it's always charging when the cars on
  3. subscribed?? its already done and completed:lol: well engine swap anyways.... just build the trans and drop in the awd/rwd diff/switchy thingy:)
  4. thanks, took me some time to think about how it works:lol: i know the rear has clutches but never thought about welding it... i understand how it works now:)
  5. aawweee i would of liked to see how you would do it. i can see how to make it fwd but not rear
  6. did you ever do the rwd/awd switch? i was looking it up a while back and never found out if you did
  7. Great... Cause you brought it up it's delayed by 2 more months:lol:

  9. a remedy for the 2>1 shift, get on the the gas during or before the shift, it'll rev match and wont clunk
  10. ^ my signature:wub: are you jelly?? wait... saw you have an 08, the hard shift is fine. its actually good cause you want hard shifting and your engine/trans speed is the same for that shift. It shifted hard because its 1st gear and possible high rpms. the shift was hard to 'ensure' its in gear and wont slip unless it was one of those funky times when your still on the gas and downshifted and the car didnt rev match and clunked into gear....
  11. noob question how do you tighten the steel straps? There seems to be some play and cant get them super tight like zip ties my non straight cutting, feels like the steel straps can slip off over time edit:nevermind, i actually took time to read farfrumworks post:lol: I bought a cable/zip tie gun from harbor freight for $9 and plastic zip ties w/ metal locking clips, we'll see how that goes. the gun supposedly can put up tp 90lbs of tension on the cable tie. the cable tie i bought supports 50lbs of tension/preload - one of those:lol:, and the gun does not work w/ stainless steel ties
  12. I was still under warranty and this was done like 1.5 years ago, so i dont really remember:lol: really it doesnt take very long. pull in the car to the bay, plug in ssm, read and flash, test drive it, then you drive off the TSB said .5 hours, so no more then 30min (when they take in your car, if they are not busy) So let's say they charge $90/hr, half of that is $45 for the flash. IF this doesnt fix it, ask if you can bring it back later to reset the tcu learned parameters. Some are nice and say bring it back and we'll do it free of charge (since you already brought it in) some may be jerks and charge you a second time Bring in the TSB, knowing information IMO makes them less of jerks (never had a jerk problem though :/ always had good experiences with dealers). I brought in the TSB, explained what was going on, and was super simple and fast:) no BS talk to me or fluff info added
