  1. Ill take your advice on the grounds and give them a once over this weekend. Ive been teaching my gf how to drive stick in it. The shifter was kinda mushy, and after all the lessons, its even mushier! Im gonna replace the shifter bushing to see if that helps the spongy feeling.
  2. already switched the plugs, tested the wires (all above 10.4) oil change, it has new belts, cleaned the maf and throttle body, it has a new air filter but its a cheapie, flushed the radiator, replaced and resealed rear diff, checked for leaks and the only one I found was the leak in the rear diff, the battery looks old, but tests consistently at 12 and the alternator is charging properly. Just putting upgrades where its needed. Thanks for the tips fellas, my main goal is to get this thing running at optimal and give it a little pep so it can get us up the mountain to Tahoe during snowboarding season.
  3. I wasn't going to go coilovers, I'm just looking to replace the struts because the fronts are completely blown, and the rears aren't far behind. The car has 145k on it and I think they are the same struts that came out of the factory. I was looking into Monroe sensatracs. The tires on the car are nearly brand new kuhmos, not the greatest tires but they are good for a year or two. One of the reasons I scooped this puppy up for 2k. The engine runs solid but feels tired, I changed out the plugs, the wires tested perfect and look like they were a recent replacement, and I can tell I'm not getting a great spark. The coil in it now looks to be a cheap aftermarket replacement. Not looking to do anything big, just upgrades where its needed. Its our commuter car/grocery getter, I by no means intend to race it out!
  4. Thanks, i want to keep it looking stock with a few upgrades underneath. An msd coil pack, and amsoil air filter, some new pullies, and a suspension upgrade though i havent quite figured out which rpute im going to go on that. Ill post more pics when i get a chance.
  5. here's my 97 GT wagon. had to do some minor things to it like a full tune up, radiator flush, i restored the headlights, did some interior mods like installing new visors, repalcing a power window motor and regulator, new wiper blades, i refinished the roof rack and painted that ugly gray cladding black. http://i1229.photobucket.com/albums/ee480/LONO101/20130113_170231.jpg
