Try pulling the bulb, bend the wire leads out...

Try pulling the bulb, bend the wire leads out from the base to about 45 degrees, and put the bulb back in. See if that doesn't fix your problem. If they are flickering it's a bad connection.

try rotating them 180 degrees in the sockets and see if that helps. They are polarity sensitive. Your car should be all DC.

That's why I'm asking around here. The stealership wants $40 for a new bracket. I figure if someone from a rear plate only state has one, I can get it a lot cheaper and save me fabricating my own.
