  1. Anyone try to swap '09 STi seats into an '05 LGT? From what I've read, the seats themselves should fit fine, but haven't heard anything about the wiring/air bags.
  2. Yesterday I installed a 2008 Spec B head unit into my 2005 LGT. Bought the i85 harness from SVXdc which included female RCAs that he pre-connected onto his harness for a small charge, and connected it to an Ipod charging adapter that I bought off of ebay. The install, other than me yanking the antenna wire out of its socket, was a breeze. SVXdc's harness was plug-and-play and works flawlessly, as does my ebay Ipod adapter. I'm extremely pleased with SVXdc's product.
  3. http://www.yelp.com/biz/crestview-service-center-los-angeles Great Yelp reviews and an extremely convenient location for me! Thanks for the tip!
  4. Anyone know of a decent, honest place to take Toyotas for normal maintenance and repairs in the West LA area? I've been letting my wife take her Highlander to the dealer for years because I've been too lazy to research private mechanics, but it's off warranty so no more dealer for her.
  5. Definitely not the dumbest question (in my mind at least). I've been putting this on hold for the same reason.
  6. I would wait the 15 minutes. At 15 minutes, I still had to pry them apart a bit. They didn't just peel apart like a banana. You don't want to keep pulling them out and putting them back in. As far as oven rack settings, I didn't have much of a choice. The lights are pretty big. I just tried to set them so the light was centered as much as possible. I don't know that it is absolutely necessary to disconnect the battery cable, but it couldn't hurt. For every repair involving electrics, and even some that don't, the first Subaru instruction is to disconnect the battery. And you won't deploy the airbags by disconnecting the battery. That won't happen.
  7. FYI, I did this mod back in May '05, and my headlights remain perfectly sealed after using this method.
  8. I would add Deer Killer's mod to get rid of the squeak in the dash.
  9. I'd recommend Boostjunkie . . . . errr . . . . Yimi's. Turbo, injectors, header/uppipe, EBCS, Brembo fronts, front and brake pads and SS lines. Paul . . . errr . . . Yimi did a great job! Also, as dealerships go, I've had good dealings recently with Santa Monica Subaru. Its new service manager, Armound, has done a great job in changing their attitude.
  10. Has anyone gotten a tune from Paul Yim? Has he got the mad tuning skillz?
  11. Jazzy's instructions are amazingly complete, easy to understand and simple to follow. I am shocked that I took apart my radio, installed the adapter, put everything back and didn't have any extra screws, broken tabs, or scratches. Excellent product and excellent instructions. Thanks Jazzy.
  12. I do that, but sometimes that plastic line flexes and the cap falls.
