  1. Hey guys, I have a question pertaining to this old thread. Say I cannot find a catless uppipe. Could I rod out the stock uppipe and cap the sensor hole, then do the resister mod? Would that obtain the same result? I would prefer to find a used factory catless uppipe, but after several days of looking on the Nasioc classified page, I cannot find one for sale (ok, there is one, but it's an old ad, and the seller has not responded to PM). 2. Cool, I'll look for you out there. I'm planning to do the event at Mather on Apr 16 (or 17...whatever day it is).
  3. I've had Swifts on my car for about 4 years now on stock struts. I've not had a single problem. Now, that said, I'm going to start autoXing my car again soon, so I may blow out the stock struts pretty fast. BTW, I'm also running a JDM rear sway bar and urethane bushes on both sways.
  4. Damn, some day one of you guys will spot me. Any of you ever get down to Modesto? I had the only SWP Leggy GT down here for a long time (it's an '06). There's tons here now, but still not many sitting on Swift springs. I'm planning to get back into autoXing and the Fresnos guys I used to run with don't go to Castle AFB much anymore, so I'll be hitting the Sac events more. Any of you guys autoX?
  5. I spotted an Atlantic Blue LGT sedan on Sunday (8/26) in the O'Briens supermarket parking lot in Riverbank at about 11am. My family made fun of me for pointing out another LGT (I stopped pointing out Subarus because of them) but it's so rare for me to see ANY LGT I couldn't hold my tongue. It appreared totally stock(as best as I could tell from a roll by) and like mine, had no wing. Spotted a Red LGT wagon today going past me in the opposite direction on Oakdale road in Modesto. It was also stock. The driver was a woman and she was unaware of the presence of another Subaru on the road, even though there were very few other cars. Just not a lot of LGTs in Modesto, and especially my new home town of Riverbank. I'm getting lonely. H2OSB
  6. Spotted today a RBP GT wagon at about 7pm at the Costco in Modesto parked near the gas pumps. Almost looked like the car might belong to someone who worked there. To the best of my knowledge the car appeared stock. H2OSB
  7. Spotted today at about 10:30 to 11 am. An OBP GT sedan(with a wing) going south on I5 just south of Florin. No way he (or she) could have spotted me as I was in my wife's Chrysler T&C van as a passenger. I saw EVERY model of Subaru on that trip (to Sac Intl Airport) except a Tribeca, and that could just be because I wasn't looking for it. Wish I could see that many Subarus in Modesto. H2OSB
  8. Spotted in Modesto on Dale Rd., just north of the mall, SWP sedan exactly like mine except it had a wing. Girl was driving and didn't even look my direction. Only the second other LGT I've seen in Modesto and the only other white one. H2OSB
  9. Spotted an Atlantic Blue LGT sedan pulling in and fueling up at the Chevron on Oakdale Rd. and Highway 108 in Riverbank, CA (hell, it's the only Chevron in Riverbank). He didn't see me because I was sitting at the Starbucks drivethrough across the street in my wife's Chrysler T&C van. H2OSB
  10. I did the disable today. LITERALLY took about 1 minute. I LOVE it!! I detested the DRLs. I wanted to do it before, however, this morning, somewhat sleepy (I go in to work at 4am), I drove the entire way to work without turning on my headlights. I never knew it until I went to turn them off and discovered they weren't on. I didn't get a ticket or even stopped, however it made me realize I need to know for sure they're on. The mod was extremely easy, thanks to all of the suggestions in this thread. I found it VERY easy to push the flexible lower covering up for plenty of clearance, eliminating the need to remove that panel. Thanks guys!! H2OSB
  11. Spotted and drove along with a forest green 96-99 LGT sedan with Washington plates today, northbound 99 in Modesto at about 8:15am Spotted moments ago (about 2pmish) a silver wingless LGT sedan turning southbound onto Sunrise Ave in Modesto. I was on Briggsmore at the light heading east. He didn't see me. I am pretty sure I sat in that car when I was buying mine (however it was a auto so it wern't fer me). H2OSB
