  1. I lost 5th in my original 5spd after tons of abuse on stage 1 and 2, and a lot of 1/4 mile passes at over 400whp...happened on the highway, gradually got on the gas and it shattered and sounded like a sand bag was in the housing...couldn't get in to first or third...hobbled it in 2 and 4 to the shop...6spd swap...handling more power and more abuse pretty well...
  2. www.toronto-subaru-club.com there is a member piecyk, he sells atleast a couple engine/tranny/suspension/brake swaps from USDM sti's per month. complete sti tranny swaps usually go for $3000, but you still need the LGT/spec B stuff to make it happen like the shifter linkage, propshaft, axles
  3. if you have to swap brackets on the end of the driveshaft to mate it to the r180 anyways, why can't you just use the LGT driveshaft and swap out the end?
  4. picking up propshaft tomorrow, and delivering it with the Exedy hyper twin plate to the shop tomorrow...they already have the trans and diff...they have also ordered up spec b axles and spec b stock shifter, shifter fork and slave cylinder...I am reusing kartboy rear stay and TiC linkage bushings, new kartboy front stay and 6mt pivot bushings I got yesterday...probably going to ditch my group n engine/tranny mounts for torque solutions as well, maybe...
  5. shop should be starting on my tranny swap this week...shattered fifth gear last week while cruising at highway speeds...lost first gear as well, second would lock out, lots of grinding/sand like noises when in gear... going with a close ratio jdm 6 speed out of a s202 sti...i did alot of research and if im going to be shifting in to fifth while drag racing with a usdm sti tranny anyways, may as well have tighter gearing...this will also help for circuit and autocross should i ever choose to do that again since I have a gt35r turbo now...chose exedy twin plate with the HD pressure plate, hoping to get a spt spec b short shifter kit if I can get a good price on it, got a propshaft from an 09 5eat coming this week as well...shop already has the tranny/diff sitting there, this tranny has an external oil cooler as well...i currently have group n engine/tranny mounts...probably going to change them out for torque solutions mounts instead, we'll start with the tranny and do the motor mounts when the motor gets built over the winter...looks like I can keep some of my upgraded shifter bushings as welll, some I need to order 6mt specific ones...overall I hope I am happy with it, may not be happy with the highway cruising rpms, but the car is not driven year round...keep you guys posted on how this works out...

  7. Chalk up another one. Just cruising in fifth and it exploded. Lost fifth and first. Then second. Gt35r on meth, stock motor. It was due. ACT Hdss jus started slipping last week as well. 6spd swap being sourced. Shop has a v7 s202 tranny there. Apparently has steel fork and stronger front/center diff. Any thoughts?
  8. thanks...just something about ordering a super expensive bumper and then cutting it up kinda hurts inside... what is the best place to get an albero bumper?

  10. i have an 06 GT...local member is selling an 06 sti tranny...if I pick this up, I think I need 4eat rear shaft, r180 diff with matching gearing which would come out of an 06 sti as well I assume? then I would need specb axles in the rear? slave cylinder, 6mt rear tranny mount, and some sort of dccd controller? 5spd nss, 6mt reverse switch. he still has the shifter/linkages all attached...but i need linkage out of a specb or i need to extend by 3/8"? definitely going to run aftermarket clutch/flywheel. any help is appreciated...im not sure how long my stock tranny/motor will last with gt35r at 21psi plus meth...
  11. thank you for your responses...I am curious to see what boost levels it can handle...if the display will show me what PSi I am running, I don't care if the LED's max out at 25psi...please advise and let me know, as if it can handle atleast 30 Psi, you will make a sale as soon as they inventory comes available...
  12. also...can it be set up to display AFR and volt side by side? leave boost not hooked up and not displayed or is one display dedicated to boost permanently?
  13. any way to alter the programming or change it up to accomodate higher levels of boost?
