In a situation where you want to get away from someone who is holdiing you up, it often makes sense to drive through the pits rather than slowing down on the track or attempting an unsafe pass.

I like the empty cutout on my 2.5 GT. Reminds me that I was smart enough to rip out the silly phony Y-pipe and mufflers and replace them with a 3" straight pipe. More power, better sound, lighter...

I think you're giving the Stangs too much credit. Over 4 years of road course competition, my '05 LGT (310 whp/2990 lbs) has been beaten only once by one - and that was an SCCA prepared 5.0 on slicks.

No way mileage is better than stock. It only looks that way on the instrumentation - which is calibrated for stock injectors, etc.

I've always gotten rid of bump steer by shimming the outer tie rod end where it attaches to the steering arm while monitoring toe with a bump steer guage.
