Bolt length: I think a washer on top of bearing (under the nut) is called for. Re tophat p.n.'s, I've never seen an "A", only the later "B's".

In my limited experience, spec B springs are much longer, taller, but made of skinnier / thinner metal. I don't know if they are stiffer, softer, higher, lower, but they are definitely different.

answer: no need to "assume" they are Bilsteins. Rear bilsteins will have a thick-metal aluminum lower perch for the springs, whereas the KYB's will have a stamped steel one press-fit onto the shock...

What I said is true, but it doesn't guarantee 255's will fit. I don't know that answer. Also, remember you'll need different tophats, and the rear's required spacers. Search for what user "Easton"...

HD's will have more clearance than stock/KYB Legacy struts. about 1/2 way in between after you factor in the different tophat
