  1. Just had these seals replaced on my 09 Outback XT under warranty. I had to take thar car back 3 times for them to figure it out. I told them the 1st day I took it I assumed it was this. Kept throwing the same code: lean cylinder bank. They had the car about a week while a new MAF was being ordered. Called to say the car is working great. Drive it home 4 miles and the light comes on and started running like crap. Turn it around and took it straight back. Oh, it must be the sensors in the exhaust. It will take us a week because the part need to be ordered. The same evening after picking it up that 2nd time it started again. They then blamed it on bad gas. So I drove it a few days till the tank was empy and filled it up at a different station. Still ran like crap. Took it in the 3rd time and repeated my opinion of the seals at the intake manifold. Oh no, he said, they checked all that. Two days later he calls to say we found the problem! The seals are letting in air after it is metered. Well Duh... Anyways, it was done in 2 days the 3rd time and the car is idling smoothly now. Amazing how it took 3 times and 3 weeks to get it right. I'm done with this car and maybe Subaru. Blown engine at Christmas and now this not even 3 months later... An engine rod started coming loose with 19,000 on the clock Christmas Day. Took 2 weeks for them to rebuild the engine. I really think I got a bad car.

    I bought the XT I was telling you about.

    It's really nice and I'm enjoying it so far. The handling is not too bad. Its a little softer riding of course but overall, nice. Its good for a change to hit a bump and not get such a loud crash, lol. The power is good, but I do think the transmission changes a little slower than the 05. Anyway, call me sometime and we can meet up if you want to check it out.

  3. New 09 OB Xt 5eat with navigation. Traded my 05 Legacy Gt 5eat Wagon in. Liking the added features and updated materials here and there.
  4. I was searching the forums for reviews on the Acura RDX and saw that you bought one. Do you still have this and like it? I've been looking at trading out my 05 LGT wagon because of a few problems I have had with it and the Outback XT and RDX seems to be head to head in my final picks. Thought maybe you could help out with your view point on the RDX.

  5. I installed the cobb sways about a month ago and the rear bar is great, no problems. But the front is a problem. It keeps walking from side to side and like others have said, its too short. I agree that Cobb should work on the front bar. It is putting some crazy wear on my AVO endlinks.
  6. Jazzy's direct connect is way better than the hardwired FM modulator. My car before this had factory XM and when I switched over to the Legacy and hardwired an FM mod. to use with the XM I hated the sound quality. With the direct connect my XM sounds like the factory XM in my previous car. You can't beat it for the price and the sound quality. Like foghat said; its as close to CD quality that you will get. I say buy it and you won't regret the purchase.

  8. I did the install last night. Everything went well except for the fact I did not have the stereo plug seated all the way into the board. I realized this after putting the radio back together and had to remove all the thousands of screws to get back at it. I knew it was the plug when I hooked the power up to the radio and my xm was only playing through the driver’s side speakers. I could have kicked myself. I was wishing the little board had a longer ribbon cable at the moment because I could have simply solved my troubles by just removing the back cover of the radio and pulling the board out to access the stereo plug. It was my fault though and made me a pro at dismantling the complex panels of the radio. That said the sound coming from my XM is superb now. It now sounds like my factory xm in my previous car and I am once again happy listening to it. Those FM Mods. are crap! Jazzy, the boards are constructed very nicely and I thank you for creating this for us. It truly has made my daily commute much more pleasant and I can not thank you enough for this technology. That Jazzy, such a great guy!! Oh and for those having issues with the ground wire attached to the bracket. Do you have the factory sub installed? When I added the aux-in mod last night I also installed my sub and it required me to attach a ground wire to one of the brackets screws on the passenger side of the radio. If that is it I can’t understand why some of you are having problems removing it. Could be the dealers over tightening it. The install took me about 2 hours. That also includes adding the oem sub, a new aux power point for my xm, routing the wires and xm into the cubby and a second radio disassembly to properly seat the stereo plug to the aux-board. For those without this and using FM mod. devices. Go ahead and spend a few bucks and give up a few hours of your time for this aux-in. The sound is worth it!
