  1. I am not a mechanic or mechanical engineer. What I am saying is that Subaru's hp to tq percentage seems to be low. Indeed there are cars that have a higher torque than horse power. My comment regarding the CVT was that by using this new, modern transmission one would hope that the tq. would be higher. That it all.
  2. I think I have owned about 20 cars in my life, many of them automatics. The CVT doesn't really bother me, it is not as good as some regular autos I have driven and not as bad as some of them either. The "simulated" shifts are not bad at all in my opinion. Wish I could have a manual though (shoulder prevents it) getting old sucks. I am also concerned with the longevity of the CVT. What I do find odd is that many car manufacturers get more torque from a car vs. horse power. For example the new Impreza has 150 or so hp. but the tq. is in the 140s. Many car companies get more tq. from their cars with less hp. Why have the CVT if it isn't transferring the hp. into more tq.?
  3. Just an amazing build, quality is top notch. Not a fan of the rims or the color (would be amazing black). Curious, did you keep a build book on the project? Cost? Hours?
  4. LOL Oh I know that! I am in my 50s, my first car was a 1977 Audi Fox I think it had 80hp! And it was a pretty fast car for a HS kid to own.
  5. Have to admit here that I don't know what you guys are talking about regarding the seats being uncomfortable. The seats on my 2013 Leggy are quite comfortable. More so than in several other make cars I have owned. Maybe it has something to do with body type?
  6. Yea....I dunno, the bottom of the line Ford Fusion compares to the bottom of the line Legacy and they both have 175hp. I just wish that Subaru took the "power road" and gave a bit more for the entry level. That is all I am saying. Entry level models: The 2.5 Altima has 179 hp. Passat has 170 hp. Camry has 178 hp.
  7. To me....the car just needs better power to weight ratio. I don't have the cash for the 6 cyl. so it is the 2.5i for me. The bottom feeder engine for a car of that size should give at least 185 whp.
  8. I actually prefer volleyball pants over yoga pants.
  9. God damn I love yoga pants. We need to build a giant statue of the man who invented them.
  10. I think the WRX is getting to the point where it has shed some of its "tin can" feel. I am planning on driving the Legacy for 3 years and then buy a brand new WRX and drive it for more than 100 thousand miles.
  11. I would think that leaving it in like that it would constantly bang into the paint and scratch it.
