Thats true, it was. However, I'm not married, self employed and still in my 20s - I've had my eye on the GTI since before I bought the legacy but back when I was car shopping (when I got the legacy)...

Didn't exactly go as planned, as I was turning the wrench to start taking the car apart, lots of smoke started pouring out of the engine bay . . . . so much smoke that I Couldn't see...

Bump for squeeling happening when car is cold and clutch pedal is NOT PRESSED AT ALL, and the noise goes away when I TOUCH the clutch pedal gently - sounds very much like belts, but definitely isn't.
