Cost about $15-20 (Deppending on shippment option), but well worth the money. After that, you need a new kernerl for your Nexus. You can Try T1mur (cost €30 or so?), or Elemental X (Search for it on xda-developers (free), forum).

Cool. I recommend the dashcam "Blackvue DR550" or "Blackvue DR650" instead. It's dashcam that reecords everything (It has a front and rear camera), and also has a wifi hot spot so you can see the recorded clip and live feed. It's good for security Have you tried to hook up the steering wheel to the tablet? I have and its recommended! Also connected a USB hub and a FM Radio to it, which works really good. I don't have a Subaru though, but a Suzuki Grand Vitara. Nice work anyway.

Try different sunglasses.. it kind of deppends on your sunglasses to and on which way they are polarized (vertically or horizontal). How much is it sticking out? Can't remember having any heat issues on my tablet in my car..but i dont have the same car as you guys have, so the position is probably a lil different. Have you tried FM radio on your Nexus 7? (Not internet radio).

Yes, it's very easy to set up. Only bad thing with this is that the camera itself generates a wifi network. So you can't connect your tablet to your phones wifi while using this. I'm trying to teach myself Tasker a lil better, and hopefully i can make it connect to my phone \ camera with a gesture \ shortcut. I'll see what i can do. Also planning to change out my Galaxy Tab 2 with Nexus 7 (v2), since it got OTG. Just not sure if that will work the way i want yet..

If you asked me i use WiFi cameras. Blackvue DR550GW 2CH. Front camera captures FullHD 30fps and rear camera HD 30fps. 6-7 hours of capture on the SD card. Can also live view, and watch recorded videos through wifi on my tablet.
