I agree, the stock airbox is more of a ram air intake, and the air temperature shouldn't be much different. However, the straight piping and less restriction allow for faster spool and more flow...

I borrowed 16 x-ices to get to Keystone the weekend before Thanksgiving when it snowed 6 inches. Not a great look, but they fit and worked perfect. :)
