I did the exact same thing at a rally x, but eventually just forced the bitch out of gear. Snapped all 3 spring retainers in my clutch and drove it home about 5 miles before one finally broke off...

One issue you'll have if you wander into one from a phase 1 (96-99) is the speedo drive can be different. Also yours is a electric pick up so you'll hafta have one that's an electric speedo not old...
