the intake side of the turbo is completely under vacuum. the clamp should keep it from slipping off just fine.

ssr and volks are forged, they don't bend that easy. I hit a tree in my wrx with ssr comps at around 20mph; direct hit to the wheel. Barely bent the lip.

The bov not venting will not kill a turbo in any way. I'd imagine when the line popped off it sucked in some dirt under vac. Glad you caught it early though.

I have never risked buying an ebay...
