  3. pretty much ive just been driving my old bmw e21 this summer to keep miles off the subie and i just got a couple new parts like the oil cooler and the new injectors and fuel lines/rails but ya she will be on the street this fall and definitely gonna make it to at least one track event this year

  5. Ya just clean it up and repaint I did that with all of my hard lines only Takes a few more mins and your right to not put Rusty parts on shiny new ones
  6. Ya I highly reccomend proper suspension mods and a mild brake upgrade mostly braided lines and a good pad combo will be a huge upgrade from stock
  7. Ya they are good for just that one thing. However I did see an original gt350 today and was very excited I don't know how ford messed up such a good thing
  8. Truthfully who cares what other people wanna do with there car. If I spoke my mind everytime I saw a car or a build that I felt was "retarded" then I proly would lose all sleep and be spouting off on this forum all day. Give facts based on experience and reccomend options but if someone wants to have 800hp lgt DD then more power to them. And if they fail to realize how difficult that is then it's there fault. My builder has a 2001 s4 with a custom gt35 on it that is around 700hp and he drives it on the street from time to time and it's not an issue . Sure he might break a driveshaft or something but that's the price u pay for high hp. Have realistic goals thAt are achievable and never let anyone deter you.
  9. ya i badly wanna get into racing im gonna be able to do a couple hpde days this winter but hopefully next year i will be finally done with my car so will have more money for the track. just got a 08 sti tranny and r180 so once thats in i think im about as happy as a pig in mud
  10. U got me there my friend I've had some rough financial situations in the last 6 months and was not thinking clearly but I always came around and took them down. Won't be making that mistake again
  11. thx MrTris. it certainly was not cheap but i got lucky with my builder and made things more possible by not raping me on prices and got me all parts at a wholesale cost. but certainly best thing you can do is research and having an ultimate goal. mine is to have a overly versatile track/grocery/snowboard with as much reliability as possible. only thing now that i want is a 6 speed swap and then i really don't have anything left to mess with other than some better fuel mods and some body work. look forward to seeing your progress!
