  1. So I finally had a chance to install uel headers, CDN I read that you went through many o2 sensors while you had them on, did you manage to find a solution to it? I see rallitek has a rear o2 sensor spacer, but I thought I read your front o2 sensors were going? Other than the steering line (which I'm going to bend a bit more for clearance or put some wrap inbetween) , is there anything else I should keep an eye out over time? They sound so nice though~ Definitely made me fall in love with the car again.
  2. your forgetting the cat, inbetween midpipe and headers. Check this na section, its been heavily documented the solutions for 06+ 2.5is who want uel headers.
  3. The exhaust is 2.25 iirc Not sure about the muffler, but if you're talking about the pipes in and out positions, pretty sure they are in the same spot/ center-center.
  4. Thanks for the rec, I'll make sure to get a set in the spring before I put em on.
  5. Quick question, for those of you who've installed ebay uels, did you use the supplied gaskets? Any leaks or issues with them? Dunno how good they are, I'm thinking of getting oem ones instead of using the ebay ones.
  6. I see some on Touge Tuning. Based out of canada, but still there.
  7. That's the only place to get them new right now, as they have stopped being made. (short of someone having a set, but not selling. I have a set from MSI, and love em.
  8. Gotcha, just wanted to see if we started gathering parts if we would be able to use any of them before the actual install, if for any minimal gains. I guess it is best to just do it all at once. The intake though I guess would bring some more hp? along with a tune that is.
  9. So now that definitions for some more of our 2.5i's are out, Hopefully people will start building up their engines a little bit, and getting tuned. I'm wondering, some of the parts needed for the AVO turbo install are bigger injectors and fuelpump. I'd assume that if we got bigger injectors and fuel pump, we would see some kind of improvement, with just the stock engine? It would mean we could start gathering some parts, and actually put them to some use before we end up with the full kit. I know we would probably need a tune if we added these injectors and pump, but I'm planning to get one soon anyways, so a retune isn't anything too crazy. Would these additions be something worthwhile with our stock 2.5i engine, or would the gains be minimal?
  10. There are a few videos there with the stock 05 header, and catbacks. although the 05 is slightly uel, it probably will be hard to hear any of the uel qualities from youtube videos. Even mine is hard to hear though in person it sounds more like it.
  11. Eibach stopped making the springs for our cars, but MSI put together a group buy to get a limited run made. That group buy is now done, though they have a few left over. So I guess like cdn said, they must have made a few extra and sent them to retailers. I think MSI was selling the last sets for 250$ shipped in us, and can probly wrk out a a deal if you live in canada, as they are located here.
  12. Here is a video of my setup. LGT Magnaflow Catback, 18" Vibrant Resonator, ?? silencers in tips. [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hqUpIypBDng]YouTube- 05 2.5i LGT magnaflows[/ame] has outside, standstill, and highway Although, in reality it sounds a bit louder in the car, then it does in the video. Old owner also had a magnaflow resonator in there, but I took it out because of fitment issues, and also wanted it a bit louder. Personally I like this setup, it's not too loud, and on wagons usually are louder then sedans, so it is ok for me. It is a bit louder in the car then the video makes it out to be. Also cdn, I brought a dB meter with me in the car, and it never went above 100. Stayed around 80-95 the whole time, although it is an older one so I'm not sure how great it is Last edit..whole system is painted in VHT, cans are black. Stock tips, which are meant for sedans. May get them extended at some point, but for now its fine.
  13. ah ok thanks shtbxr, clears up some stuff. I remember the first time I got under my car and I looked, I was saying to myself that it looked pretty equal, but yea I guess that little bit makes a difference.
  14. So what I'm gathering from you guys, is that there are some 05 with a system with two lines to the axleback area, similiar to the H6. If it didn't have that, then it had the above setup, which is not technically equal length, but very slightly unequal, and has the ability to have borla reps bolt on. And essentially, after 2005, the 2.5i came with a completely equal length header, and does not bolt up to borla reps. Am I reading that right?
  15. Just wondering if someone can clarify something for me. From the few posts ive come across, it seems like people are saying that the 2005 2.5i has uel headers stock. n.sane talks about it here as well Is there anyone who has a picture of their stock header from 05? Looking at my car, it doesnt look that uel to me, looks pretty equal. And in the vacation pix, it looks fairly equal there too. Looking at mine, it looks fairly similar to these ones that someone else posted in another thread http://i35.photobucket.com/albums/d181/huck_this/car%20stuff/IMG_2090.jpg The only thing I can see, is that 2005 has a direct bolt on option for uel headers like borlas/reps, so maybe thats what people mean? So any info to help clarify would be nice.
