  1. My 2005 Subaru Legacy GT Ltd automatic sedan is no more. After 147454 miles it silently ground up the turbo bearings to a fine power and mixed it with the oil. The first indication I had that this was happening was a check engine light on my way to work. Very shortly after this, the turbo started making strange noises. The next day I took it to a dealer to have it looked at. They said that they drained the oil, and it was grey with aluminum powder. The engine was not yet dead, but given that aluminum powder was being pumped through the engine, it would be soon. The quoted price to put in a new engine was approximately 8k. The car was worth at best 4k in working condition. I sold the car to an auto body shop employee. I was hoping to keep it running for a few more years until the electric car design had matured a bit, but its death forced my hand. I replaced it with a Tesla model 3 performance.
  2. Unfortunately, that list does not include wheel offsets. The same wheel with different offsets can have significantly different weights.
  3. I bought my GT in July, and finally today saw another GT on the road. A black sedan unmodified (still had "Stevens Creek" liscense plate frames on it. poor guy ) Northeast bound on McKey Road in San Jose. I didn't notice it untill after I was sitting behind him for about a minute at a stoplight.
