Everything must be plugged up properly within the wiring harness. Any plug that has to do with the intake, cams, & exhaust should be plugged in.

Yes if the front o2 sensor is not installed the car will not run, I had the same issue on a recent rebuilt motor I was trying to get running.

Soak it in brake fluid.

The fake chrome should peel off. It will also remove all of the other paint on the grill and leave you with a good surface for plastidipping.
