These motors aren't really that well made. I would consider non-oem, it's what I'm doing running stage 2. It's over kill but I do no trust stock anything. Bad designing.

That's rather my thinking. If you bother to pull the motor you do the job right and replace all 4 pistons. Should get away with honing the block.

The stock tune has a poor power delivery first off, but it advances timing on cyl 4 because it's closest to the knock sensor. The result is knocking most often on cyl 4 putting most of the wear...

Why didn't you fix the oil pick up problem?

My rebuild will include that, forged pistons, water pump, belts and HGs. Plus a new tune to address the cyl 4 timing issue.

Cheap fixes normally don't deal with all the problems. Cheapest is OEM. You'll probably have trouble down the road :(
