  1. Another satisfied (in this case, second-time) customer! Just installed the GLI and PAC-iPod kit. Jazzy sent the kit out right before the holidays and I received it yesterday. Install was a breeze (soldering = fun!). Now I've got my iPod hooked up to my stereo via the dock connector, which provides a line-level audio signal. Thanks again!
  2. I think the thickness of the gap may play a correlation on the sound. When I had the thicker washers on, that muther was loud, even on just one muffler. Now, with the thinnest washers available from Home Deport, I can barely notice it. Hopefully it will stay that way long term. No $$$ for a cat back.
  3. I finally got around to doing this. I've had my resonator removed for a little while which was completely unsatisfying and have been wanting to do this. After playing around with different washer sizes and 1 or 2 muffler combinations, I've settled on the thinnest 3/8 washers available at Home Depot on the driver's side muffler for day-to-day drivability. Sounds great! (But the 2 thicker washers on both mufflers sounded BAD A$$. Like a burly V8...)
  4. Fuse is my guess. Mine is actually out right now - second time.
  5. Glad I wasn't the only one who tried removing those...
  6. Thanks Jeff- that's exactly the post I read. I knew it wasn't that long ago. Should have started backward instead of from page 10. Thanks again, Eric PS: To anyone hesitating on this, I was one of those hesitating pulling the dash/stereo apart. Jazzy's instructions are detailed and the install, as most have been mentioning, is a fairly straightforward process. Just be prepared to ask yourself - "Holy cow, how many screws hold this thing together?!?"
  7. Just hooked mine up. This thing rocks. For anyone that uses an iPod, XM, MP3 player, this mod is a definite five-star thumbs up. For those that have tried, I remember reading that the iPod's headphone jack input provides similar audio when compared to using a line-out dock connector. Without having to read through 29 pages of posts, can anyone confirm/deny?
  8. That's a good idea. I may have to get this to use with the board when it arrives. Did you just use an RCA-to-mini adapter ala Radio Shack?
  9. The Monster charger with the mini-jack output worked well for me in my old A4. http://monstercables.com/mp3/productPageMP3.asp?pin=2132&LastPage=Monster%20iPod%20-%20For%20the%20Road
