That adds up to me.... It's a 15.9 gallon tank (actually 60 liters = 15.85), you ran out, added one gallon, then filled up with 14.8.

Well it's not bone dry empty if you only put in 12gal. The gas gauge on these will go well below the empty line, way down onto the E and actually sit on the peg. THEN you know it's getting low..

2nd gen gas gauges are really wonky, you can't use that as any exact measurement of how much gas is actually left. The only good way to get a calculation is to fill up using the same pump as before,...

I got much worse mileage in my 98 LGT automatic than my 96L 2.2/5mt. Just the way they are, the lgt is much heavier with wider tires. The automatic and 2.5 are less efficient.

I think they're the same, it's just that sun is hitting one side of the car. Since the lenses are a bit dirty, they're reflecting...

Well I said it comes on at about 2 to 2.5 gallons. You said you put 13 gal in a 16 gal tank, that's 3 left. So yea, I'm not surprised it didn't come on.

Then you're not using up all the gas... plain and simple. Is your low gas light coming on? On both my 96L and 98LGT if I filled it up right as soon as the light came on, they'd take about 14 or so...

The clips are part of the deflector assembly, not part of the car. So I assume if you buy a deflector from Subaru it'll come with all the related hardware.

You should be using the 2.5 head gaskts with the DOHC heads. If you use the 2.2 head gaskets, the firing rings will be in the piston chambers. The STi headgaskets are the thinnest and best ones...

Piston slap really doesn't hurt anything. I've had my outback for around 10k miles now. It sounds like a skeleton masturbating in a filing cabinet, but it stops once it warms up.
