It creates a much higher compression ratio. Yeah you lose some high end power but it creates a lot of low to mid range grunt. Only part that sucks is having to run 93 octane

Well if you are getting the engine from a salvage yard, the torque converter should be already removed. However you will have to remove the flex plate.

My wagon and my wifes sedan are cable style clutchs and are adjustable. However my 2000 Forester is hydraulic. Maybe it's just a difference between the phase 1 and phase 2?
