look where your clutch pedal is, right above...
look where your clutch pedal is, right above where the linkage is, there is a threaded rod and nut that goes to the linkage - you turn the rod to adjust the clutch take-up.

The GT's got a limited slip diff. L's have rear diffs are open. Both are R160 size, like all subaru's except STI models.

I've had both the "torque box" setup and a CAI tube one when I was NA...didn't really feel much difference, more noise though. I ported and polished my TB as well, that was a little more noticeable....

if its more of a squeak than a whine, it could be the rod on the slave cylinder, which you can easily grease up. If its the thrust bearing, its a $60USD part...with approx $500 of labor to get to it...
