  1. Hey I just saw the Subaru 60k service that you guys are offering and I wanted to get a quote for what I need done. I'm right around 50k right now and last tranny/rear end fluids were done right at 30k and i'm not driving the Legacy all that much (5k a year maybe), so i'll leave that out for now.

    What I do want:

    Coolant system flush

    Factory replacement spark plugs

    Clutch fluid replacement

Stainless brake line install (already have the lines, Goodridge) with Motul fluids

If you could itemize the quote that would be great. I'm still debating doing the brakes lines and brake fluids myself as well as the spark plugs but at the same time i've been pretty lazy lately... Any discount off the final price if I do decide to do everything listed there? Let me know.

  2. Mine have no condensation after over a year but I went overboard with extra silicon. Now I did el3ments lights last weekend and we didn't add any silicon and his drivers side got condensation too...not looking foward to taking his car apart again.
  3. The mainenance schedule says to change the plugs at 30k right?
  4. I agree. I retract all previous statements about trying to live without a GLI. I ordering the inline GLI from Crutchfield for like $25 shipped and got all my wires tucked away and Sirius mounted to the front of the ashtray. Havn't touched the radio or listened to any CD's (just keeping the silent one spinnin) in over two weeks.
  5. I've never had any issues with the police and I've had em in for over 6 months. I run white bulbs too, with no orange whatsoever. My only complaints with clearing is that it looks nakid in there now and if you look close enough you can see the holes where the oranges were mounted. I'm still waiting for someone to make a clear reflector same size and shape of the orange one. I think that would look nice.
  6. I have no idea or experience with that clear bra stuff, but I would definately remove it before baking the lights and just get it re-done if it doesn't cost too much.
  7. Thanks for the info Jazzy and thanks again for the board itself. Satellite radio FTW!
  8. I think I ended up taking out more screws than I needed to also; took me a minute to find the proper ones. Luckily I didn't lose any or put any in the wrong places (that I know of). At first I didn't think I would need the GLI, but the whine has gotten worse, so I got that nice crutchfield one with the 3.5 jacks already on it. Hopefully I will be able to put it an the end of the cable as opposed to having to take out the stereo again and put right after the Jazzy mod. Also, I thought I would have the courage to hardwire the power with no problems, but I would like to get some direction to what people have done for hardwiring the power. If anyone has hardwired their power to a Sirius or XM unit, I would like to get as much detail about it as possible before tackling that.
  9. Finally got around to installing the Jazzy mod. Everything done in about 3 hours taking my time and drinking a few beers along the way. I swear I always have the most trouble with the easiest things. This time it was the connections in the back of the HU being a pain in the ass to get out. Went and got Sirus Starmate Replay today and everything works great. Going to keep my antanae on the dash like Jazzy since it seemed to work fine during testing there. I ended up leaving a GLI out of it and I can hear a faint whinning, but hopefully after I hardwire the power and get the wiring tucked away better that will go away, but I can't hear it when i'm moving with any volume so it's no big deal. Thanks for the great solution Jazzy.
  10. This question is to anyone that already has this installed and uses it with any satellite radio. Is the GLI necessary? I already have my Jazzy mod, just awaiting the install and I don't want my radio out twice if it can be avoided. I'm sure the easy thing is to say just "get the GLI and be safe", but I can't find one local and i'm anxious to install.
  11. Just ordered my chip and about ready to get a Sirius. Yay me!
  12. Just cleared my headlights this weekend. Been seeing a lot more of the new Legacys on the road lately so next up will be candy tail lights. Suprised that no one has talked about this yet, but when you remove the orange reflector in there it leaves that center piece some room to wiggle around and such. It would be great if someone made a clear peice in the same dimensions as the orange. I just hope one of those clips holding that center peice in there never breaks off or I am going to be very sad.
