Wonder if I'd be better off with 235/35 tyres? They have a lesser overall diameter than 225/40. Would that lessen the chance of rubbing?

I don't believe anybody has tried it yet. From what I have learnt about it the big constraint is that you need to connect ce-net CD changer to it as well, meaning you cannot use the aux-in by itself....

Have to disagree... the ECU tune is the prime contributor to the performance gains in today's modern "worked" cars. STi aren't miracle workers with their ECU tuning efforts. What they do isn't rocket...
