On my 2010 it IS simply holding down the top...

On my 2010 it IS simply holding down the top (tiny) button to the right of the clock until the numbers start moving... holding it down, not just pressing it... not sure if they changed it in later...

I've had great success with Dr Colorchip on the GGM. A few minor paint chips, roadrash on the rear bumper. Its super easy to use. Give it a go! Even the small kit has enough paint for what you need....

This is not really a trick just a tid-bit: the owners folder (holds all the books) fits perfectly in the rear door pockets. THis cleans up the glove box for other crap like extra napkins and straws :)
