In a perfect world, one would be able to look at the information on the bottle of oil to determine how thin or thick it is. The first number on the bottle is based on the cold cranking viscosity test...

Not the same as U.S. Edge. Our 5W-30 Edge Titanium is a very thin 30 grade oil at 9.8 cSt's at 100C. I don't think any of the Euro Edge's are that thin. It did return some good results in a recent...

I really don't get why people seem to think that all Mobil1 oil is bad based on a few bad experiences with Energy Conserving M1 5W-30. And it also amazes me that there are knuckleheads out there that...

For those of us without a filter bypass set up, 4k intervals on SSO on a pre-2011 are a good idea IMO. You're probably fine going longer without the screens in place, but I would follow Amsoil's...

AAP's web site says that BC v2 isn't eligible for promotional discounts or special offers. Is it different in the store or does it just depend on the person ringing up your purchase?

Is this oil even synthetic? I would be asking for some Esso XD-3 0W-30 if I were you. It's a more robust oil that would be better suited for a modified LGT. Also, I would email Toromont and ask them...

I doubt very much that the last oil used is a 5W-30. I've seen 5W-30's thicken with very long intervals, but the viscosity on that oil is thicker than Rotella T6 5W-40. No way, especially with the...

Maybe it's 5W-40, but whatever it is, I wouldn't run it again. A very weak additive pack with low levels of ZDDP, no boron, and very little detergents/dispersants.
