  1. Doesn't the lgt put down more to begin with though? I wonder what the percentage of gain is.
  2. I think the 5speed auto helps out with the 0-100 acceleration but the 6speed will help with the top speed and fuel efficiency. plus the ez36d is a bigger displacement so it will technically gain more by those mods in comparison to a turboed 4 with the identical mods. where the Legacy GT gets bigger gains is when you crank the boost up, simply by changing the ECU Tune, exhaust, and intake will not necessarily turn the boost up so the motor will still be getting about the same CFM but would utilize it more efficiently. its all hearsay, but I love me some Displacement
  3. Yeah spreading it out is a good idea, I'm still waiting to hear back from blackstone before I mod. although, I messed up and found the Infiniti q50 which by the way is a sweet ride and stock goes 0 to 60 around 5.2
  4. Ide take an N/A motor over an equivalently powered forced induction motor anytime. I suppose the cam install is fairly easy (aside from pulling the motor up). Our motors are DOHC right?
  5. have you checked if the Valve Springs will handle whatever lift this ground cam is going to be giving them?
  6. (playing Devils Advocate) be careful playing with the ventilation hoses, they serve a very important purpose. Regulating crankcase fumes and pressure for combustion to be at its most efficient and to draw contaminants out of the oil to be burned AKA longer OCI. if it were me i would put a catch can on the hose from the PCV to the intake manifold, and, bypass(connect) the coolant hoses. "The port on the intake manifold will get plugged" - that scares me just my two cents, obviously some other folks have played with our particular motors more than myself.

  8. Might want to replace that PCV Valve its looking a little old and stock $10 part can save a lot of heartache.
  9. I assume yall have found Oil residue in the TB and Intake Manifold? do your catch cans have the Mesh in it to separate Oil from the air? (kinda dumb questions, but I know that I've seen "catch cans" that are literally just metal jugs with "in and out" hoses lol.
  10. Ive seen Coolant Bypass of the TB as a common practice in other cars wich with a tune helped as usually the coolant actually warmed the Air instead of cooled it going through the TB. Instead of capping the lines wouldnt you want to connect the two and bypass the TB? as one is probably the inbound coolant to the TB and the other is the Return line? I could be wrong but this is what ive seen on other vehicles.
  11. Are the Catch Cans necessary on our cars? ive never seen any oil residue in either of those lines on my car.
  12. Do a Rear-Mount Twin-Turbo setup! go big or go home right? it can be called the "Suparu"
  13. Man it would be so awesome to hear some Cam lobe on a ez36, hook a 75 shot of N2 on it and call it a day! but then i'm sure you would have to build the Tranny and look into the rest of the powertrain for weak links. But N2 would sure help you in those straights at Laguna!
  14. dang that is exactly how much i'm losing around every 3k. I wish we could find an explanation for this. I remember reading somewhere that Subaru said it was do to "Low Compression" rings that were used on the Pistons, can anyone else confirm for the 3.6r? with that being said I found this today... http://www.graveyardmotorsports.com/Crate_Engines_Parts_Category_s/1795.htm Makes me wonder what kind of car needs a Billet EZ36D. gotta be pumping out over 1000HP for that to even be necessary LOL! P.S. not trying to get off topic, and I feel for those that May be having slight anxiety due to the recent findings of the one we call Gio.
  15. Man im sure glad I've got yall to test all this out before I start modding!
