Thanks!! I cut the blue/black wire, drove around a bit to make sure that cruise control, full beams, and all other functions work...they do. Taped the ends, put the panel back, presto - no DRLs. So it is confirmed this works on the 09 Legacy also. Trust Subaru engineers to keep changing harnesses, wire colors, etc to confound us.... Thanks to all!!!

Would this be the same mod for an 09 Legacy limited sedan? I had an 06 that I'd disabled the DRLs, on, got the 09 yesterday. Just want to make sure before I disconnect the blue/black wire. Reply appreciated - TIA!!

Ah, tried the procedure today, it's the same plug for the Legacy SE. Worked like a charm. This would mean all the Legacy/OB combos also have the same plug, more or less.

Folks - Is this the same procedure to disable the DRLs for a 2006 AUTOMATIC transmission Legacy SE wagon? Or does this only apply to manual GTs? Response would be much appreciated.
