My wife's 05 OB had both rear wheel bearings replaced under warranty at 82K. It laso needed new front axles but we have a 100K extended warranty so we only had to pay the $90 deductible for that.

Generally you want a narrower tire for winter driving. A narrow tire cuts through the snow better allowing the tire to make contact with the road underneath.

If the 3.6R is like just about any other Subaru the bolt pattern is 5x100. I run Dunlop wintersport 3Ds on my WRX and love them. Winter tires and AWD=the win.
