  1. Finally stopped over thinking it and went back and started from the beginning. Now it works!!! Really is the greatest mod ever! Thanks mwiener2 for the walk through!
  2. For those of you like me that fried your BIU, I found a MOSFET 3377 like the original to replace the crapped one. http://www.ebay.com/itm/290965049519?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1497.l2649 Discovered what to look for on SubOperator's post, but I just want to return to original http://legacygt.com/forums/showthread.php/diy-05-bl-bp-stereo-heat-switches-mirror-switch-illumination-177954.html
  3. Appreciate all info. I decided to go with OEM. Picked it up off the internet for $125 with s/h and the new axle nut. Local dealers wanted $160 before tax...
  4. ^^ I am planning on buying the same Autozone part for the passenger front axle as well. So it installed without any hassle?
  5. I have the same issue and was told by local dealership it was a wheel bearing. Subaru OEM parts are damn expensive. Has anyone tried other parts? This is what I found at Autozone.com and was looking for some input on whether I should use this part or pony up the $$$ for OEM. http://www.autozone.com/autozone/parts/Timken-Wheel-Bearing-Hub-Assembly-Rear/_/N-6o2nz?itemIdentifier=180496&_requestid=2031138
  6. I have had my DRL's disconnected and HID's in since April '11 and no issues. Knock on wood
  7. ^^^ Thanks for the input!!! Now to see how much it costs to have it programmed..
  8. I did it cause I would leave the car running with my girlfriend in the car as I ran into a store and she would reach over and click the driver seatbelt in so it would stop the stupid noise!! Very easy to undo and to put it back in the event of selling my car.
  9. I attempted this mod. Got too ahead of myself and put the diodes in backwards. There is no longer dimming of the dome light so I put everything back to "stock." I bought a used BIU at a local junk yard for $50 and now my dome light dims again. But when I try to start the car, it does not start. Key goes forward in the ignition, but no clicking or anything. Do I have to have Subaru "program" the new BIU to my ignition or is this one I got crap? I am using the original BIU now cause my car starts but no dome light dim.
  10. Thanks for the great write up! Just finished the install. Took about an hour:)
