  1. IF i were looking to tune, i wouldn't waste much energy on a used motor. get a new short block, new turbo, all the fun bits, and there, now you have a race car. I suspect the oil consumption is more the turbo rather than the motor. It seems many seek power before stability, i must do things backwards. Regarding the coils, can't comment on a local quote. I would contact the manufacture for a quote. Coils are currently off, and running OEM struts.
  2. you convinced me sir $10k is a more fair base asking. as you identified and i agree: It has some cosmetic issues, torn driver seat ,small dings etc. I will try to get some additional photos posted shortly. If i did have a fair buyer I could also look into replacing the LCA's... resolve the bushing issue. I am actually only looking to 'sell' for $1... the remaining difference would be a kind donation. The 2015 transmission conversion alone is worth about $5k+ The car is fun... and ready for all the fun stuff. power, fuel system, tuning, etc.
  3. Better question for the community... what do you all think it is worth... this should be interesting Looking to move it soon as it is just sitting garaged.
  4. Photos posted... additional details coming soon. I purchased this car from an auction many years ago. Clutch and dual mass flywheel were toast; I replaced those, and about 2 years ago had the DCCD STI transmission installed by Surgeline in OR. Most aftermarket parts were added as the OEM parts began to fail.
  5. 2005 Subaru Legacy GT White 143,000 2015 6spd STI DCCD conversion Owed Front Range Colorado VIN: coming soon Base Price: $11k? flexible on price depending on whether you would like to include summer and winter wheels, Bilstien PSS coils( need rebuild), and other misc parts etc. Been garaged for the last year....Gauging Interest (offers?) 2005 Subaru Legacy GT Limited Wagon (~143,000 miles) Good jumping off point for someone looking to add power. I am the second owner. I took this car over with about 95k on it. It was not running (no clutch) when I purchased it; almost everything has been replaced as each OEM part failed. Tan Leather Interior (driver seat cushion has a tear) Black Carpet Sound Barrier installed over Transmission tunnel + 2015 STI DCCD 6spd conversion (~30k on Transmission) + DCCDPro Spider + COBB Short Throw + R180 Rear Diff + Spec B Rear Conversion Axles + STI Driveshaft + STI Clutch + Lighter than OEM Flywheel + 2015 STI Steering Rack + Cusco anti-roll bars + Group N Trans & Engine mounts + Torque Solutions Pitchstop + AL LCA (bushers are bad) + Brembo BBK Conversion front+rear (<10k) + HAWK Pads + Braided Steel Brake Lines + KNS Rotors + STI Master Cylinder + Gates Timing Belt Water Pump Kit + Grimmspeed LW Crank Pully + Process West TMIC (Turbo XS BOV) + Mishimoto Radiator + Turbo Heat Shield + Crawford AOS + Perrin Uppipe + COBB Downpipe + COBB Intake + COBB AP + JDM Dual DIN + Touch LCD AppRadio Has some body dings etc, a small patch of rust on the front of the rear fender that should be addressed sooner rather than later to prevent it from spreading. Have had some small accidents and some body work. Over all looks pretty good. Consumes about 1qt every 1,000 miles... Not great, but not uncommon for this motor as Subaru likes to say. Banjo filters were removed shortly after I took ownership. I also have some other goodies that are not on the car and considering making it part of the package... so the price is pretty negotiable depending on what you want to include. example: I have a set of Michelin PS tires mounted on 18" x 8.5" WED SPORT wheels.
  6. Apologies to all interested parties... I was unavailable for a few weeks. They are still available.
  7. nah. just a random parking garage. there are are few nice wagons around town. few are manual... even fewer(if any) with a '15 DDCD 6sp
  8. I'll be posting additional photos in the next day or so. Sound proofing was done when I replaced the carpet. I noticed the single mass flywheel conversion had a bit more noise so I installed some sound barrier from http://cascadeaudio.com/car_noise_control/car_barriers.htm However, I noticed the STI 6spd has less NVH than the LGT 5spd so it's just a bonus now.

  10. reply to all PM's it's liberally about $75-80 for shipping. 48lbs total 12*2=24lb fronts 10*2=20lb rear 24"L x 20"W x 10"H may end up splitting it into 2 packages if it's cheaper or safer.
  11. JDM Bilstein PSS (BSSKIT) coilovers (bought used from Japan, ~30k miles) Improvement in handling over OEM. Due for a rebuild sooner rather than later. Buyer pays +shipping/handling $100-$150 This suspension kit is one of the nicest you will find for this platform. This kit is not available for purchase in the US. Imported from Japan. The front driver side was making a slight knocking noise at low speeds. Mileage on the set from JP was approximately 30k and I had them on for around 12k. I have the Bilstein Spanner wrenches that I can include as well. I'd recommend that at least the fronts get rebuilt if not all 4 To get a new set of these into the US would run you around $2k.
  12. I supposedly ordered a pair of Group N rear CAB from rallispec a little while back and it is not a solid bushing as you are stating-- it has the same two slits as OEM, but perhaps a little smaller. It looks pretty much the same as the LGT but different material i suppose. Anyone have a photo of what the Group N and/or STI rear bushings should look like?
